Hi dear readers, hope you had a great week ! Thank you so much for all your lovely comments, I feel so lucky to have you.

Today I’m gonna talk about music I’ve loved this month. I feel like this is a great idea to show you what I’m enjoying, etc. It’s still personal but not too much. Eheh.

Let’s begin shall we?
I love a lots of genre of music, the one thing I totally can’t listen at all is « french variety ». I don’t know why but I absolutely despise it. However, I love old french songs : like Françoise Hardy, Serge Gainsbourg, Jacques Brel, Juliette Gréco etc.

Ok, so apparently I’m always listening to the same artists if I trust my last.fm statistics.
Françoise Hardy is this kind of artist who makes me fell so Parisian, along with the An Education’s OST. It just feels so right walking along the Seine listening to it. My favourite Françoise Hardy song is « Le Temps de l’Amour« , it’s been stuck in my head for a long time now.
Ella Fitzgerald is amazing, her voice, her lyrics, everything about her is magical.
She & Him is one of my favourite band, they always cheer me up ! In the sun is my top one song in the spring !

I also made a playlist called « Paris selon Candy » (Paris according to Candy – Candy is my surname), it’s not finished yet.

I don’t know where I should share it with you, if you have any ideas let me know, and if you have requests for an article, tell me !

Have a nice sunny Sunday !

I’ve been thinking about doing this post for a long time now, notebooks are quite personal to me however I wanted to talk about them.

As you can see, I’ve a lot of them and a lot of them are moleskines.

So let’s begin, shall we?

The two lovely notebooks from Paperblanks were gift from Antonin’s mom. They are absolutely delightful, I use them for to-do lists. The paper is really thick and I love the fact that the cover is magnetized (it doesn’t make any sense, sorry). The ‘Lovely Notes’ behind were gift from friends for my 20th birthday ! I adore them ! One is for keeping tracks of my bills etc, an other is for recipes, an other is for planning my holidays etc, and the last one is still empty..

This one I bought for one euro at Gibert Jeune. I mainly bought it because I fell in love with the cute cover and because it was so cheap. I use it as a « music » notebook : I list albums I love, new discoveries and stuff. I also reviews records in it.. Maybe in ten years I’ll read it and think ‘oh lord how could I love this song before ?’ or stuff like that.

Two Moleskines. One is an old agenda, the other one is a diary, don’t have much to tell about them, except that everytime you open them you can clearly smell my perfume (Coco Mademoiselle) .. I don’t know why though.

Moleskines, again. These are the ones I carry all the time with me.
1- Lists of all my clients, I use it when I’m having meetings with them to write down useful details.
2- Quotes I like from tv shows, films, books, songs etc.
3- A list of all the nice shops, restaurants, salon de thé, etc I like in Paris.
4- My last acquisition, new diary. Lately I wrote down a lot of ideas I had for the blog.. :)
5- I couldn’t properly describe this one, you only thing you need to know is that what you can find in it : tickets, drawings, thoughts, books I want to read, films I want to watch.. mainly lists in fact.

Sorry if it was boring !
xx

I was thinking I could perhaps tell you ten things about me and in return you could tell me ten things about you in the comments ? That’d be great !

1- I used to make pixel art when I was younger. I even won a contest !
2- I talk to myself in English … and I even talk to my cats in English. – I’m french, but I’m sure everyone knows it !
3- I’m self conscious about my English accent.
4- I’ve been drinking coffee for almost ten years, I tried to quit but I can’t. Well, well, well.
5- The first English book I read was Harry Potter, I read it in three days and I was so proud of myself ! Since then, I only read in English.
6- I easily cry, it’s quite embarrassing. The other day I cried at the theatre because they were showing the ‘Titanic 3D’ trailer. boo.
7- I can read in a crowded place, I don’t care about the noise.
8- I’m always obsessed with something. See my last obsession.
9- I enjoy spending time alone, however it doesn’t mean I want to be alone all the time.
10- I used to be quite shy, but I’m working on that ;).

I’m what you might call a very romantic girl. This is a fact, I love chick flicks, romance, candles, sweet dinners, listening to cheesy songs… well you see my point.

However, sometimes I don’t get the hype about Valentine’s day. Sure it’s nice to celebrate love, offer gifts etc; but I celebrate love all the time and I offer Antonin gifts very often. That doesn’t mean I won’t make something nice for him this year, but oh my, shops spam me with their Valentine’s Day emails and communiqués every single day and I’m starting to get sick of it. In fact, I’d rather make him something with my own hands than buy him something. (FYI, it’s already done but since he reads my blog, I won’t tell you what I did!)

So no, I won’t buy him a bottle of perfume, I won’t buy red lingerie because I’ve received an email about promotions, but I crafted something ‘cute’.. though we’ll not be together on the d-day.

As for now, I’m currently enjoying a nice evening at home, reading A Song of Ice and Fire (almost done with A Clash of Kings – oh boy I’m so hooked) while listening to the brand new jazzy McCartney album, his work is so magical and brilliant …

I’d like to thank all of you for your kind comments and your support ! This week I’ve been promoted three times on HelloCotton.com. I love all of my readers!

My closest friends know that I’ve been obsessed with Liv Tyler for years now, I had a website about her (the only french one – yeah) and I even got to meet and hug her ! I’ve seen all of her films and I’ve been stalking her on the internet since 2001 (LOTR era .. aww) and was so happy when Givenchy decided to name her the new egerie of the brand.

I’ve always been amazed by her natural looks and fashion choices. Plus, her closest friends are Stella McCartney and Riccardo Tisci. That helps, right? She always felt good in her body even with a few pounds, that’s what stroke me the most at first. When I met her I was so stunned by her elegance and soft voice .. oh Liv !

I’ve a pretty huge collection of candids photos of her walking in the street in NYC and pictures from events, look at her outfits, so adorable. She wores a lot of black, however don’t we all agree that black is, in fact, so chic ?

At any particular time.

I’ve been planning to change the design of the blog for a very long time now, but I didn’t have the time, see I’ve been working like a dog – what is this idiom anyway – and been tired 24/7. I’m feeling a bit better but work isn’t finished yet. Two more weeks to go. So tell me what you think of the design in the comments section, I have some changes to do but I couldn’t wait any longer. Au fait!, don’t forget to join my facebook page if you want updates in your facebook feed.

I’ve been buying a lot of books lately and I also took a lot of pictures, at last. You can thank Ludovic who bought me a pro account on flick, it’s a late gift for my birthday, so it motivated me to take pictures !

Anyway, today I’ll only show you the ones I took with my cellphone, I’ll make a proper post with the real ones later next week.

Pictures of my daily life ..

Hi everyone ! Hope you had a blast at Christmas with your family and friends. I don’t have a big family so my parents, my brother and I just stayed home and enjoy a good meal.
My parents offered me a new desk and a new bookshelf, I took some pictures after I cleaned up my room, you can see a part of my book collection; don’t be afraid at the Jane Austen section, plus there are some missing.

Another wishlist .. however this time it’s all about pocket poetry !

These are from the « Everyman’s Library Pocket Poets » collection. There are more than 60 volumes in total, you can order the whole set for 937$ … yeah it costs a lot; I think I’ll buy some but obviously not all of ‘em eh. Had the chance to see them in a bookshop recently and they are so pretty ! I think everyone should at least own a copy of Rimbaud’s work, he’s such a wonderful poet plus he’s French – watch me not being objective. I also adore Keats, Frost, Dickinson, Bronte and of course Hardy ♥ .. Books all the time, the perfect antidote to life.
